Alasan Ceesay is a Gambian-born British serial social entrepreneur on a mission to create positive change through his ventures. He is currently studying at Cambridge Judge Business School for an MSt in Entrepreneurship, Business and Management. As a seasoned leader and business founder, Alasan has a proven track record of success in diverse fields.
Alasan is the founder of two businesses: a growing food commodity business in West Africa and a social enterprise tech start-up that provides smart tech training for the elderly and less-abled individuals in the UK and globally. He is also a former soldier in The Queen’s Company, 1st Battalion, The Grenadier Guards Regiment, one of the oldest and most experienced infantry regiments in the British Army.
Alasan served as the Student Union President for South Thames College, leading 20,000 students and making decisions on their behalf. He also served as a board member of the UK government-sponsored organization, the Education and Training Foundation, and has taken part in international conferences and summits such as the G20 Summit and IMF and World Bank meetings. Currently, Alasan is focused on growing his businesses and continuously finding new ways to make a positive impact.
