William Awomoyi

DIRECTOR OF LOGISTICS

William is a penultimate year Politics and International relations student at St John’s College, Cambridge. Outside of academia, he serves as the UK’s Young Ambassador to the Commonwealth and the Diaspora Lead Advisor to the AfCFTA Youth Advisory Council. William has been named as one of the top 10 Black students in the United Kingdom in the 23’ Rare Rising Stars Magazine. He has also been awarded various awards such as the Diana Award and the Bromley Rotary Award for outstanding community service whilst serving as the Member of the Youth Parliament for Croydon and the First Young Mayor of Croydon. He obtained this for helping to reduce the knife crime rate in his local municipality by 15.6% in two years- which saw Croydon go from having the worst knife crime rate in London in 2017 to being among the more safer boroughs in London. He also successfully campaigned to maintain free travel for the under 18’s in London during the Covid Pandemic. He is also a member of the World Economic Forum Global Shapers Community and Chatham House.
